What's so hard?

My mess of a something
I love to work with my hands so lately I have been getting into trying to teach myself how to crochet with only the interweb to help guide me. It's free to say that all I have learned in a two day time spanned is how to sc, ch, and dc (single, chain, and double), how to mess up a lot, and how to unravel more than half of what I was working on. Crochet looks really simple! I mean a loop here, another there, what's so hard about doing that? A lot!

Half the time I just want to give up and go make a kandi bracelet, or go make a friendship bracelet, but I know that in the end I will be happy I learned how to do this. So for right now I'm going to drive myself insane and go and want to give up everyday, but I won't.

There is a saying that goes:

"Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you are right."
      ~ Henry Ford

You guys have all heard something along the lines like this, but I think this hits home a little more. Don't believe you can do it, you have slim chances of doing it. Think you can, and you can do it no matter how bad it is.  Most times in life it is getting it done that counts, not how you do it.

I'm not going to give up on learning how to make a hat or throw. You shouldn't give up on what you want. Just today I was at a GSA meeting and this girl randomly ran in and screamed, "I DID IT!! I GOT INTO YALE!! THE FOUR YEARS OF HELL WERE SOO WORTH IT!!"

If you want to do something, don't just want make it happen.
